There is a tendency to wrap everything in bacon when you first start keto, and this keto bacon wrapped chicken tenders recipe is no exception. They make a delicious snack or an easy dinner, combined with a dollop of sour cream.
Bacon is a staple on the ketogenic diet, due to its salty, smoky, crispy flavor that is inherently delicious. Chicken, however, isn’t such a staple, because we try and consume fattier types of meat. However, when combining the two, and adding in some delicious sour cream dip, we’ve got a match made for the ketogenic diet.
You may have tried my Bacon Wrapped Avocado Eggs, or even my Bacon Flavoured Bourbon Recipe, so you probably know that I love wrapping items in bacon. Wrapping chicken in bacon is probably the easiest thing to wrap and doesn’t feel like a waste of time. They come out of the oven delicious, and they are seriously easy to make.
It’s no wonder that chicken and bacon recipes are so popular. Its simply because they taste great! Make sure you’re buying bacon that doesn’t have any hidden carbs in it. Most bacon companies like to sneak in extra sugars to make it taste great but will throw you out of ketosis if you’re not careful.
If you’re looking to do this keto baked bacon wrapped chicken for breakfast, then you can definitely accompany this with sour cream mixed in with cumin or paprika. It adds another layer when combined with the smokey flavor of the bacon. Its such an easy chicken recipe, so go ahead and make enough for lunch for the next day as well.
I hope you’ve enjoyed making this recipe as much as I have. Be sure to leave a comment below if you have any questions about the ingredients or the way this was prepared. Until next time.
