Keto waffles are probably my new favorite breakfast recipe. They are super easy, delicious and fun to make with the kids.
If you have recently bought a waffle maker, and you’re looking to do something with it as you have recently decided to give the ketogenic diet a try, then THIS is the recipe that might just save your life.
Waffles are great by themselves, or with plenty of butter, but why not make them a real treat and add some sugar-free maple syrup and top it all off with some Keto Icecream? This batter makes 3 complete waffles, but you’ll probably feel full after just 1/4 of the waffle. They are fluffy but calorically dense, so don’t go putting a whole waffle on your plate…
Its made with Almond Flour and xanthan gum, much like my Keto Bread (just with much fewer eggs). This recipe doesn’t have any eggy smell what so ever, even when you’re cooking them (crazy, I know). Turns out, when you introduce vanilla and a little sweetness into the mix, it both masks the sulfur smell completely, and once cooled will taste exactly like wheat flour waffles.
Depending on how crispy you like these waffles, I suggest cooking for 4-7 mins depending on the heat of your waffle iron. If they are crispy, then they are easier to pick up.
If you are looking for more crispy Keto waffles like this, you are going to love my other breakfast recipes on the blog that are just as delicious is this one, or you can download my Best Selling Keto Cookbook and get even more great keto breakfast recipes.

Sorry, I don’t understand – are you saying it’s 3.5 net carbs for HALF a waffle?
Who’s going to eat half a waffle?
FatForWeightLoss says
I’m not doing this to cut carbs, I’m making sure that calories are on point. I try to make these around 500 calories per serve throughout the blog.
Kay says
The waffles were so flimsyI had trouble getting them out of the waddle iron, even in pieces.
FatForWeightLoss says
Hey Kay,
That’s a typical sign of not being cooked enough. How long did you have them in the waffle iron for?
Marcia Goodwin says
shouldn’t the “Net carbs” be 3.5 since there is 4.5 in fiber?
Pam MacKenzie says
Oh, & meant to ask, what is the brand of maple syrup you use please? All I picked up the other day had SO much sugar, sadly. Thanks.
Pam

Hello Aaron,
Do you have to use Almond Milk with the waffles? Sorry, but being dairy farmers, substituting milk sort of doesn’t go down very well, lol. We drink raw milk, as you may gather, & love it.
Thanks,
Love your recipes,
Pam
Alison Hood says
You wouldn’t necessarily need to use almond milk, but you would need to use exceptionally high fat dairy. Generally the only dairy “milk” that’s high enough fat and low enough carb for Keto is heavy cream 🙂
Bel says
Of course it would, Pam. 🙂 Almond milk is lower fat than full cream cow’s milk.

Hey….can you make a pancake with this recipe? I don’t have a waffle iron?
FatForWeightLoss says
I would try my keto pancake recipe instead 😉
