Low Carb Dill Dip
Low carb dill dip is a great way to snack without blowing the carb budget. Its high in fat, so it will satisfy any hunger issues you might have, but the best part about this keto dill dip is that it just tastes so dam good.
I made this low car dill dip a few weeks ago as a trial, and to be honest it was lucky to see the next day. It tastes similar to a French onion dip, but different again with the slight twist of the dill herbs.
Dill is usually used in salmon recipes. Dill and salmon go together very well. If you wanted a creamy dill sauce for salmon, just switch out the sour cream for regular heavy cream. Get creative and make your own keto friendly salmon recipes with the basis of this keto low carb dill dip.
This low car dill dip would work well with my fathead crackers. I also used this dip as a spread on my low carb bread rolls. It is just an easy tasty recipe which gives life to any accompaniment that it is paired with, including a glass of dry white wine.

For this low car dill dip I used fresh dill, but you could also use dill seasoning or dried dill. Both alternatives will work wonderfully. I find that using dried herbs gives the flavour instantly in a dip, whereas using fresh ingredients will have a very fresh tastes, but may not have the time to infuse throughout the recipe as thoroughly. I cannot explain why this is, merely what I have experienced with my years of ketogenic cooking.
This low car dill dip is also handy as a healthy alternative to store bought dips that contain sugar and preservatives. Take it to a party, share it with friends. You don’t have to be on the ketogenic diet to enjoy this dip.
Low Carb Dill Dip
- 1 cup Sour Cream
- 1 cup Mayonnaise
- 1 tsp seasoning salt
- 2 Tbsp dried onion flakes
- 2 tsp dill weed
- 1 tsp oregano dried
- 1 tsp parsley dried
- Add all the ingredients together, from top to bottom of the ingredient list.
- Chill overnight
- Serve with keto bread rolls, sliced thinly
