This recipe is all about making Nut Free Keto Bread in 90 seconds using sesame seed flour. Most people who are allergic to nuts are also allergic to coconut (which most other recipes use), So I decided to go 100% un-nutty and use sesame seeds. I hope you love it!
Even though many recipes claim to be nut free, the always contain coconut. Why is that? Well, what most people don’t understand is that Coconut is not a nut. It is a drupe which, technically is a fruit with a hard shell that covers the seed… confusing right?
Instead of trying to explain my self like the conversation my coconut bread sparked, I thought I’d avoid coconut all together, and use something that’s much more versatile and works very similar to almond flour, except sesame is a seed. Win!
Dairy Free Keto Bread
This bread can easily be made dairy free also, simply by using olive oil instead of butter. (1 Tbsp to be exact). You could use sesame seed oil, but from experience, that amount of sesame seed oil might be a little overpowering, so use olive oil instead.
What If I Don’t Have A Microwave?
If you don’t have a microwave, I totally get it. using a microwave all the time has been shown to cause many health defects that are probably best avoided. So, in that case, I’d suggest placing your heat resistant mug into the oven for 15 mins, allowing for a slower cook and a less eggy taste. That’s a win!
Honestly, I’ve used this bread for all sorts of breakfast ideas, including poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. Its super delicious t be able to mop up the runny yolk again! Haleluja 🙂
What Sesame Seed Flour Should I Use?
The best sesame seed flour to use is this one mentioned here, However, if you don’t have access to Amazon for whatever reason, just grind up sesame seeds in a coffee grinder. Its what I did and it works really well.
I hope you have fun making this recipe, and if you have nut allergies I hope this recipe helps you out.

Hi. Can you please include the normal metric system? In Europe everyone has cups like bigger, smaller, cubic, round… That’s why we use grams 🙂 Just joking. I just wanted to try this sesame bread but I’m afraid of making whole loaf from your another recipe. I will just go with ~30g, as I will divide 200g by 7 eggs. Hope it’d be edible. Cheers!

Hi! What’s the temperature if I use an oven? Thanks!

355F or 180C for 15 minutes

Even though I added three Tbsp of coconut flour, this became a doggy mess, I had to microwave for 8 minutes before I could take out of the tin. 4 eggs is too wet.
FatForWeightLoss says
How on earth did you get 4 eggs?
Grannyguru says
These are wonderful! Just made one. I ground the sesame seeds in my coffee or spice grinder and then ground the baking powder and salt into that. Had trouble mixing the butter into the egg mixture so I mixed it in one of those magic blenders and then dumped that and the sesame flour mixture into the bowl. It seemed to need more egg so I added another large egg. Next time I think I will try making the sesame flour in the same blender and then adding everything and blending it there.
I cooked it in the microwave for 90 seconds and then another 12 seconds. It turned out beautifully. The texture is like bread. After it cooled, I sliced it in half like a hamburger bun and then tasted it. The sesame flover was a bit strong, so I tried sprinkling some granulated onion on one piece and granulated garlic on another. That is delicious! I am going to eat this with onion or garlic sprinkles and a hamburger patty with all the fixings! 🙂
I am going to make another batch with added granulated onion and/or garlic mixed in. This is great!
I am also goping to make it in the regular oven to see if I can get it to brown on top, like regular buns.
Thank you so much. Enjoy!

If you could easily find it, would you suggest using Xanthan Gum in this & your loaf bread recipe & how much?
Lisa says
I’m curious about the 2 fluid ounces for the sesame flour, did you use a liquid measure cup for this?

thank you for this – gonna try it right now!

Hello, you mention cooking, in the oven, but, didn’t mention the temp? Thanks for your help with this!
FatForWeightLoss says
Hey Marcia 🙂 In the oven would be 15-20 mins 🙂
Sarah Bellwood says
That’ the time, not the oven temperature — what temp should the oven be?
MyDarlin says
I think you mis-read the request. We need oven temperature (not the amount of time). I’m going to guess the standard 350 deg F (for us Americans).
FatForWeightLoss says
Temp is 180C (355F)

Coconut is not a botanical nut; it is classified as a fruit, even though the Food and Drug Administration recognizes coconut as a tree nut. While allergic reactions to coconut have been documented, most people who are allergic to tree nuts can safely eat coconut.
FatForWeightLoss says
Correct, but most people who are allergic to nuts also avoid coconuts just out of potential risk 🙂
