Bacon-Wrapped Avocado Eggs
Most things in this world are made better with bacon. This bacon wrapped avocado will make your friends jealous enough to want to live at your house forever.
Making bacon, eggs and avocado can be really simple. I usually like things simple, but when I came across this idea, it was too hard to pass up. Make this next time for your partner, and they will have something pretty amazing to talk about.
Healthy Fats, Low Carb
Avocados are filled with healthy mono-unsaturated fats which help your skin, lower levels of triglycerides and contain plenty of fibre, which can be handy on a ketogenic diet ;-).
Eating healthy fats is the best way to aid in weight loss. This is hard to realise at first because our brains are so hard wired to the notion that fat is bad, and fat causes us to be fat. Fat is a superior fuel for your body brain as it is much more consistent, without the sugar high, and the well-known sugar drop!
Once your body becomes used to eating fat, it can no longer differentiate the difference between dietary fat, and body fat. This means that if less food is consumed (i.e. less calories which equals less stored energy), your body won’t cry in despair like it would whilst eating a high carbohydrate diet.
Food For Thought
As I was cycling this morning, I realised something… the most important thing when you being to exercise on a ketogenic diet is to not increase the amount of food you consume if you are looking to lose weight. Think of exercise like wind in your sails. It will get you to your goal quicker, but you don’t need to add more fuel to the tank.
This recipe can be for a delicious breakfast, or a well-earned lunch at the office.

- Remove the eggs from a pot of boiling water, peel the shell and insert the egg into the avocado. Place 4 strips of bacon overlapping each other, and wrap the avocado.
